Valkyries struggle to lure free agents as ‘startup’

Despite “unlimited resources,” including a state-of-the-art practice facility unveiled Wednesday, the Golden State Valkyries have struggled to attract major free agents. “It is challenging,” team owner Joe Lacob said, adding, “We are a startup.”
